Where is 33-year-old Janelle Melissa Northey? According to a press release by Prince George’s County (Maryland) Police Department, police are asking the public for help in locating Janelle. She was last seen in Greenbelt, Maryland where her debit card was used in several stores. It is unknown whether she or someone else used her card.

Janelle is described as a black female with black hair and brown eyes. She is 5’4’’ tall; weighing approximately 170 lbs. Janelle is bipolar and suffers from schizophrenia and diabetes. She is listed as critical missing and is in need of her medication.

New Orleans Police said they are looking for a man who went missing and was last seen in the Central Business District.

Police said 48-year-old Alex Williams was last seen in the 500 block of Canal Street on Sunday just before 2 p.m.

Williams is described by police as an African-American, about 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, a baseball cap and dark pants and carrying two pieces of luggage.

Anyone with information on Williams' whereabouts are asked to call the New Orleans Police Department’s nonemergency line at 821-2222.

Laura Anden Beatty, missing since Nov 10, 2011

Authorities are searching for an 18-year-old woman with medical issues who’s been missing for nearly a week, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Victorville station officials said Tuesday.

Laura Anden Beatty walked away from her home in the 13400 block of Baylor Drive in Victorville at about 5:30 a.m. Thursday and hasn’t been seen since, according to Karen Hunt, spokeswoman for the Victorville station. When she left she took her two small dogs, a Chihuahua and Jack Russell terrier.

She was last seen wearing a brown, vinyl hooded jacket, tan boots and unknown colored pants. She’s a black woman standing about 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing about 220 pounds with black braided hair.

Officials are trying to locate her since she has medical issues.

Susan Bamvakis, 50, was last seen near her McAdams Road home, wearing black stretch pants, a bright-colored T-shirt and black shoes, said Lt. Ron Brandolini.
She is 5 feet, 2 inches tall, weighs about 115 pounds, has brown hair and hazel eyes.
She has bipolar disorder and is not able to care for herself, Brandolini said.

Aruba – Tuesday, authorities continued to search for missing Maryland woman Robyn Gardner, 35, who vanished Aug. 2 in Aruba after going snorkeling in an area dubbed 'Baby Beach' due to its shallow waters. The man who she traveled with to the area has been detained by local law enforcement.

Robyn had traveled to the Caribbean island with Gary Vincent Giordano, 50, who tried to return to the U.S., but was stopped at the airport before he could leave.

Aruba was also the location where Alabama teen Natalee Holloway vanished in 2005 after leaving a local nightclub with Joran van der Sloot. The Dutchman is currently behind bars in Peru, accused of the 2010 killing of Stefany Flores. He was arrested several times in connection with Natalee's disappearance, however, authorities claimed they did not have enough evidence to hold him for any wrongdoing in the case.

Robyn is described as 5'5” tall, 130 pounds with Blond hair and brown eyes. She has tattoos on her left shoulder and arm and one tattoo on her right rib cage. Anyone with information regarding Robyn's case is urged to call the Aruban authorities at 011-297-597-5201.

I have attached a photo of my mother-in-law. She has been missing since July 6th, 2011. She was last seen at the Rainbow Festival in Woodland, Washington. She is originally from South Lake Tahoe, California.The people she was last seen with originally stated she told them she was going to hitch hike home, they have since changed their story. Their names are Alan Peck and Catherine Ward. There is a multiple state investigation into where she could have gone. She has no ID, cash, credit cards, phone, medication, or any other belongings with her. They are with the people who last saw her. Here is her vital information:

The family of Marie Hanson are anxiously awaiting to hear any news regarding Marie. Marie Hanson is believed to have left the Rainbow Gathering recently held outside Portland, Or in the Gifford Pinchot National Forrest.

Almost immediately Marie’s family set up a website, http://www.mariehansonmissing.com , as they were alarmed and concerned about her well being. Marie Hanson, 54, was last seen leaving the gathering with a man known only as “Owl”. “Owl” is described to be a tall skinny man with gray hair. Marie does not have her medication, credit card, or identification with her.

Marie wears a silver necklace with a silver cross on it. She has a noticeable scar along her spine from a back surgery. Her hair and eyes are brown. She weighs approximately 125 pounds. Marie Hanson resides in South Lake Tahoe but may be traveling with others from the Rainbow Gathering. She may be headed to Big Sur, CA or Eugene, OR.

19 year old, San Diego State University student Donna Jou has been missing since June 23, 2007. Donna Jou was last seen at a party held at a Los Angeles home rented by John Steven Burgess. Burgess is a registered sex offender.

Investigators believe Burgess, a registered sex offender, picked Jou up on a motorcycle earlier that day near her Rancho Santa Margarita home, Amormino said.
Jou met the man on the Web site Craigslist.org, Amormino said.
The day after Jou left for the party, her mother received a text message from Jou’s cell phone saying she was coming home, Amormino said.

Dara abducted Sabrina from Austin, Texas in April 2002. They were located in Mexico City in June 2003 using the names Blanca Aurora Fabian Uribe and Adriana Fabian Uribe, but eluded authorities. Sabrina's hair has been cut and dyed, and her hair color has changed several times. Sabrina has lost weight and is reportedly suffering physically and psychologically. Dara is the non-custodial mother, and had supervised visitation for 6 months. She was allowed unsupervised visitation, and she fled. Dara has been diagnosed with mental health problems, and is unstable. Dara has also used the following names: Deena Marie Guerrero, Deena Marie Llorens, Deena Marie Lamont, Deena Marie Patel, Dara Marie Groves, Deena Marie Peterson, Deena Marie Green, Dara Marie Allen, Dara Marie Rose, Deena Aguilar. That adds up to more than 797,500 children annually.

Of that total, almost that 204,000, or about 25 percent, were family abductions.

An estimated 58,200 were abducted by someone other than a family member.

An AMBER Alert has been issued for an eight-year-old Oklahoma girl whose mother was shot to death late Sunday night. The missing girl is Aja Johnson, who has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen at her Geronimo home about 15 miles south of Lawton. Authorities suspect Lester Hobbs killed Johnson's mother, kidnapped the girl and may be heading for Davenport. They may be in a white 1992 Toyota with the license plate 577-BPW. Police ask anyone who sees them to call 911. Hobbs is a white male, 6 ft 1 in. tall and 190 lbs. He's described as having brown hair, brown eyes, a receding hair line, and a lot of tattoos. Hobbs has numerous prior felony charges out of Cleveland County and is carrying the weapon used in the murder. If you believe you've spotted Hobbs, Johnson or the vehicle call 911 immediately. The Comanche County Sheriff’s department in Oklahoma has issued an Amber Alert for Aja Jotson, an 8 year old girl from Geronimo, Oklahoma. She was kidnapped from her home after 46 year old Lester William Hobbs shot her mother to death in the home at approximately 10 Pm Sunday night. Lester Hobbs has prior convictions. Court records show that Tonya Hobbs filed for an emergency protective order in August 2009 on the grounds of child abuse. That was in Lincoln County. When officers went to serve him he was no longer working at his job and had fled. On August 18 neither party appeared for the hearing on the matter and the case was dismissed. Hobbs is NOT Aja’s father.
Hobbs is believed to be driving a white 1992 Toyota Paseo OK Tag # 577-BPW with a missing back window replaced with sheet metal. Geronimo is located about 15 miles south of Lawton, Oklahoma just east of state highway 281/277 which is also SW 11th Street in Lawton. Please stay alert in the Lawton area. Also stay alert along a possible route going through Walters, Corum, Comanche and Waurika, as well as all points south on H.E. Bailey Turnpike toward Wichita Falls, Texas. Authorities suspect Hobbs may be headed toward his sister’s home in Davenport, Oklahoma. Davenport is just east of Chandler, Oklahoma and just south of I-44. This would take Hobbs up H.E. Bailey Turnpike, through or around the Oklahoma City metro area and headed toward Tulsa on I-44.

The charity Missing People is launching a new 6.2 mile (10k) run called ‘Miles for Missing People’ which will take place in Hyde Park, London on Saturday March 13th 2010, sponsored by Friends Reunited.

The event will bring together up to 1,000 families and friends of missing people, as they join together in Hyde Park to remember missing loved ones.

Kirsten O’ Brien, an ambassador of the charity, will be running the event in memory of her good friend and co-presenter Mark Speight who was missing for six days before tragically being found dead.

Kirsten said, "I am delighted to be running 'Miles for Missing People' and will be doing so to remember Mark and help bring resolution to all those currently missing. On the 4th March 1998, after lunch Rui Pedro took his bicycle and, around 2 o'clock p.m he went to his mother's office, which is in front of their house, to ask her for permission to go on a drive with a 22 year-old "friend" named Afonso. His mother refused and told him to play with his bicycle in an uncultivated ground, just behind her office (this ground isn't a passage path and sometimes horse race took place there). In the afternoon, around 5 p.m, Rui Pedro's private teacher phoned his parents because he was feeling surprised by Rui’s delay (this was not normal). Immediately his parents started to look for him. During their search, they found out that a neighbour had found his bicycle around 3 p.m. It was hidden in the wood in that horse track where Rui Pedro was seen riding his bicycle. As Rui Pedro had set a meeting with Afonso, we tried to find out about Afonso's stopping-place. Later on Afonso was found and he was asked if he had seen Rui Pedro. Afonso replied "no" in a very calm way. Later we knew that this man was seen in the same place talking to Rui Pedro. This man was in a black Fiat Uno, which was of his brother. Now, it was in this very same place where the bicycle was found. Strangely Afonso's brother borrowed him his car, so he would do the regular car's check-up, but later on we found out in his testemony that this wasn't true. Afonso just drove around incertain places and with no definite destiny.
On that day, GNR (our local police) inquired him and helped us on the search. They witnessed when the child's grandfather (my father) desperately asked Afonso where Rui Pedro was. My father offered him anything he wanted just for the answer. But Afonso replied crying that he didn't know anything but if we did want to find Rui Pedro the frontiers should be closed, as Rui Pedro could be far away, abroad. And soon, confronted by a witness -André, Rui Pedro's cousin- who told the conversation that Afonso had with him and with my godson. Afonso had stopping him from talking. Afonso has thretened him. Even so André told us that Afonso had invited them to go (in is car) to the prostitutes and the meeting-point would be in "Quinta da Costilha". He also told Afonso that he had missed the appointment because his mother didn't allow him to leave home. Meanwhile, and during the night we phoned everyone and everywhere. Together, the family joined with the GNR (who took trained dogs), the Firemen and the people of Lousada searched the village looking for Rui Pedro. During the dawn, I went to the Police Headquarters asking for help, because everything was telling us that Rui Pedro was kidnapped and I was told that the Police couldn't do anything. They told me that I would have to ask the judicial district judge to get in touch with the local authorities so we could find out what type of crime this was and only the judge could consider this a kidnapping and only in this case they could interfere. I explained what had happened and implored them to come and act as soon as possible, because on the following day it could be too late. We continued the search and on the next day after the court's Judge's approval to have the police´s intervention. During the afternoon many policemen of "Polícia Judiciária" came to the village. On the following days we looked together in the wood, in the neighbourhood, springs, lakes, etc..., hoping that Rui Pedro had fallen somewhere. Never, until today, they took into consideration that Rui Pedro had been kidnapped! However, we received thousands of phone calls, in which people would say that they had captured Rui Pedro or that they would know where Rui Pedro was. We even were asked for a randsom. We also got a phone call in which a child only could call for the mother and the connection was cut. The telephone was taken away from the child. Then, the very same person hanged up. None of these phone calls were traced, even though, the judge has ordered that our phones should be under surveillance, as our lingered laws demand.
And everytime we asked them if they had followed any clue, they would ask us how could they have done it, if they even hadn't heard these people, nothing could be done in order to know who was calling, as we answered that there are ways to do it, they told us that it was only in the movies.
How can we expect such an answer, if the present situation is real?! How can we understand that the Police Officer answer us that he doesn't have the slightest idea where Rui Pedro might be?!
Revolted with all this bureaucracy, negligence and lack of ways with which we deal in a case of a child's kinappind. And it is also revolting the reason why I am complaining, even though I don't fell I have the right to say that I am demaged, because my pain is so small compared with the one that this child is going through.

On May 12, teenager Luke Durbin vanished into thin air after a night out in Ipswich. Apart from some grainy footage on a CCTV camera, no one has seen or heard from him since.

It seems remarkable, in the era of CCTV, that somebody last seen in an English town centre can seemingly disappear off the face of the earth. Almost 16 weeks ago, in the early hours of Friday May 12, Luke Durbin, a 19-year-old, left a nightclub and was last seen at 4am. The police who are searching for him have said it is the most unusual case of disappearance they have seen.

Luke's mother, Nicki, a woman on whose face the months of worry have been etched, always talks about him in the present tense. "It is every parent's absolute worst nightmare," she says. "I can't mourn him, I can't grieve for him because he is missing. I have to hang on to the idea that he is out there somewhere because I don't know what I would do if I didn't hang on to that."

On August 26, 1995, Heather Danyelle Teague, 23, was sunbathing at Newburgh Beach in Henderson County, Kentucky when something went very wrong. As she lay in her lounge chair soaking up the rays, a white man walked up to her, grabbed her by the hair and dragged her off into woods at gunpoint.

A man watching the beach through a high-powered telescope from across the Ohio River in Indiana witnessed the incident. The suspect was described as having a bushy beard with no shirt.

The Eureka Police Department is requesting the aid of the public in locating 23 year old Christine Walters. Christine has blondish-red hair and blue eyes. She is 5’4” and approximately 100 pounds. She was last seen on 11-14-08 in Eureka.

Her family has reported her missing as they have not heard from her in 10 days which they claim is unusual. Any information regarding Christine should be given to Police Services Officer Mary Anderson of the Criminal Investigation unit at 441-4300 or call the 24-hour dispatch number, 441-4044.

The Eureka, California Police Department says 23-year-old Christine Walters disappeared during a trip to the west coast in early November.
Walters is a student at UW-Stevens Point and is from Deerfield.

Investigators say she had been visiting a friend in Portland, Oregon when she decided to extend her stay and head south to Eureka, California. She was last seen when she left for a walk through the woods.

Her friends in California say she left behind her backpack and all her belongings.

Patricia Kimmi, a missing 58-year-old Atchison County woman, was supposed to be surrounded by family Nov. 8 -- the anniversary of when her 11-year-old granddaughter collapsed and died during a physical education class at Atchison County Middle School.

Patricia "Pat" Kimmi was taken from her home near Horton apparently by force sometime Friday. Evidence was found at the scene indicating she may have suffered injuries, said Kansas Highway Patrol Technical Trooper Tim McCool.

Boller said searchers found her mother's partial dental plate by the side of a road earlier in the week. She also said several items were found in disarray around her mother's home, but nothing was taken.

Kimmi attended Atchison County Community High School and graduated in 1969, Unified School District 377 personnel said. She married Eugene Kimmi. They are divorced.

The grandmother of 12 moved into her manufactured home about half a mile from the nearest neighbor last year.

Kimmi was supposed to meet a friend for a shopping trip on Saturday, Boller said. But when Kimmi didn't answer phone calls, the friend contacted Boller, who then went to her mother's house.

"I knew something was wrong," she said.

Smith was last seen in Clinton, South Carolina on November 5, 2006. At the time, she was living with her boyfriend in a house in the 100 block of Leila Street. Her boyfriend stated they got into an argument about religion and Smith walked into a wooded area behind her home and never returned. Smith has never been heard from again. She left all her personal belongings behind, except her purse. There is no evidence of foul play in Smith’s case, and her boyfriend has been ruled out as a suspect in her disappearance, but it is unclear what happened to her. Smith is described as an intelligent young woman. She enjoyed photography, hiking and horseback riding at the time of her disappearance. She was a student at Piedmont Tech and made good grades; she wanted to transfer to Lander University and become an art teacher. She has dropped out of sight before, but never for this long, and her family believes she may have come to harm. Her case remains unsolved.

The Montrose Police Department is hoping someone might now the whereabouts of an elderly man that has been missing for about a week

The long time Montrose resident was last seen in a white and blue 1990 Suburban in the 300 block of Pythian Avenue.

Thomas Boylan, 82, possibly has a form of dementia and is on heart medication, Montrose Police Sgt. Jake Suppes said Saturday.

A neighbor was the last known person to have seen Boylan, and told police Boylan got into his 1990 Chevy Suburban at around 10:30 p.m. Oct. 20 and drove away from his residence in the 300 block of South Pythian Street.

He has since missed scheduled medical appointments and no one is answering his cell phone, Suppes said.

Police are concerned Boylan, who has hunted in the past, might have driven into the mountains. Because of his access to a vehicle, the missing man could be anywhere, Suppes said.

An additional concern is that Boylan does not like to drive at night because he does not see well.

"We don't have much. We've been checking the area to see if anyone has information. Call us," Suppes said.

"The family is really concerned; we're concerned, and we're kind of running out of options."

Boylan is white, 5-feet, 10-inches tall, 135 pounds, and wears glasses and suspenders. He has a full head of gray hair and brown eyes.

Mariann Aleman, 39, has not been seen since 10:15 on the morning of March 6, 2006, when Isaias Hernandez, 33, drove away with her in his red BMW convertible. Police in Fontana found Hernandez’s car abandoned on Tuesday, March 7.

Detectives now fear that Aleman is in danger and a kidnap victim. Hernandez’s estranged girlfriend is Aleman’s 40-year-old sister. Detectives believe Hernandez is holding Aleman to force the girlfriend to re-establish the relationship.

Mariann Aleman is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. She is Hispanic and Spanish speaking.

Hernandez is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. He is a registered sex offender and has prior arrests for narcotics violations.

Aleman was last seen at her home in the 5000 block of Glen Iris Avenue in Eagle Rock.

On Oklahoma father has increased a reward to $15,000 for any information leading to the arrest and prosecution of whoever is responsible for the disappearance of his son. Ernest Matthew Cook would now be 36 years old. He's been missing since April 22, 1999. Cadaver dogs have since hit on a nearby water-filled strip mine, but danger of collapsing banks have kept them from digging for what they believe to be his body.

At the time Matthew Cook was reported missing, he weighed approximately 175 pounds and stood five feet, 10 and a-half inches tall. He had sandy brown hair and blue eyes, his father said.

John Cook’s belief that his son met with foul play is based on more than a hunch. Things he observed in the Dow area shortly after his son came up missing led him to that conclusion.

Matthew Cook had been occasionally staying with his parents, John and Earlene Cook, in Hartshorne shortly before he was reported missing. Matthew Cook had recently been divorced and had two young daughters, his father said.

John and Matthew Cook had been working together in 1996. On the night before Matthew Cook was found to be missing, John Cook said his son had insisted that he take him to his grandfather’s property north of Dow, where he had a camper.

John Cook said his son turned and waved at him after he dropped him off at the site, before walking toward a wooded area. That’s the last time he saw his son, John Cook said.

The next day, he went to check on him, John Cook recalled.

“We looked at the camper; he wasn’t there,” John Cook said.

“We found his tote bag. It was open and his shoes were on top of it.” Matthew Cook’s Bible, some clean clothes and a picture of his two young daughters were also inside the bag, John Cook said.

“A few days later my dad and I drove farther back in the pasture,” John Cook recalled. “We found his sleeping bag and a pillow” about 200 yards from the camper, he said.

John Cook and some friends and family members continued to look over the area.

“A little farther, we had a road,” John Cook said. “We found a barefoot track on the right-hand side and big boot-print in the left side,” he said.

John Cook said he’s convinced that the person wearing the boots had forced his son to walk down the road after forcing him take his shoes off “so he wouldn’t run away through the briars and bushes.”

Farther on, near a gate, John Cook said he saw another barefoot track in a water puddle, with a boot print on the other side.

John Cook said that’s convinced him “They took him out at night.” He thinks that because of the darkness, the puddle had been unnoticed until it had been stepped into by Matthew Cook and whoever wore the boots.

“Nobody in their right mind’s going to step in a water hole at night,” he said.

John Cook said he still believes his son’s body may be in a water-filled strip pit not far from where he had last been seen alive.

Former Pittsburg County Sheriff Steve Burrows had been involved in a search to try and find Matthew Cook, which included pumping out the strip pit in question.

A man with a “cadaver dog,” a dog trained to detect dead bodies, had also been brought to the area and “hit” on the strip pit, John Cook said.

“The dog handler said there’s a body in the strip pit,” he said.

Divers at the time had also been involved in the search into the murky strip pit, until it was decided they might be in danger if part of the bank collapsed, according to John Cook.

During the pumping operation to drain the water from the strip pit, as the water got lower, a huge chunk of the earthen bank at one edge of the strip pit did collapse into the remaining water, John Cook said.

Although the rest of the water was eventually pumped from the strip pit, John Cook said he thinks that the dirt that collapsed into the strip pit could have buried his son’s body.

John Cook said he does not believe his son left the camper voluntarily on the night before his family found him to be missing.

''I will offer $15,000 for information that will lead to the arrest and prosecution of the killer," John Cook said.

He had previously offered a $2,000 reward not long after his son was reported missing. He later upped it to $3,000, then subsequently increased the amount to $5,000.

So far, no one has collected any of the reward money.

While there has been no official determination that Matthew Cook was the victim of foul play, he has been officially declared deceased by the courts, John Cook said.

Anyone with any information regarding the missing man should contact the Pittsburg County Sheriff's Department at 423-5858, said Sheriff Joel Kerns.

Kerns said he recently talked with John Cook and the case is still open. It's not under active investigation at this time, but the sheriff said his office is ready to act "if we get something new."

Bobby Jamison (44), his wife Sherrilynn (44) and their 6 year old daughter Madyson have been missing for nearly two weeks.

Their truck was found in rural Latimer County, at least 30 miles from their home, on Saturday. A starving small black and white dog was found inside the vehicle when a Latimer County Sheriff's deputy went to investigate.

The FBI, OSBI, and a number of state agencies are working on this case, but authorities are worried about the family of three who disappeared in such a tough part of the countryside. Panola Mountain sits in rural Latimer County, covered with trees and surrounded by grasslands.

"It's only 6.5 miles from Red Oak," Sheriff Isreal Beauchamp, Latimer County.

It's where Sheriff Isreal Beauchamp is trying to solve a mystery. He's looking for Bobby Jamison, his wife Sherilynn, and their daughter Madyson. The family was last seen October 9th near Red Oak. They were looking to buy 40 acres of land.

Eight days later their truck was found by hunters. Inside the truck was their small dog, malnourished and in bad shape, according to the sheriff. The dog has since recovered.

Also inside the truck were their IDs, wallets and a substantial amount of cash.

"It didn't look like to me that they got out and walked, it just looked like they got out and that was it. They didn't take their coats, it was kind of cold that day, they didn't take their cell phones, of course they didn't take their dog," said Sheriff Beauchamp.

Sheriff Beauchamp says investigators have looked into the Jamison's past and there doesn't appear to be any signs that they were in trouble or looking to start a new life. He says there's no obvious reason why they disappeared.

For the last several days searchers have tracked through the countryside, but dense trees and hilly terrain have made the search very difficult.

"You know triple canopy, a lot of woods. There are trails, four-wheeler trails, walking trails, game trails but, for the most part, pretty rugged," said Sheriff Beauchamp.

A large search of more than 100 men and women, including horses, a helicopter, and a plane, is scheduled for Friday, but the sheriff is worried about the forecast of rainy weather.

Deputies found their truck locked and without the keys. There was also a substantial amount of money in the car, along with coats, shoes, cell phones, maps and a GPS system.

According to volunteer searcher, Jordan Coffey, the terrain is difficult for anyone.

"Probably a lot of hurt, you know. Legs hurting, back. They said that guy had back surgery, so up there he wouldn't be able to get around very far," explains Coffey.

USA- Embroidered boot found near remains

ALLEGHENY, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office is hoping more clues will help to identify skeletal remains found along the Allegheny Reservoir in September.

Found with the remains was an embroidered boot.

Forensics also revealed the remains are a female between the ages of 25 and 45, having weighed 105 to 125 pounds.

The remains may have been in the water for one to five years.

Morris, 21, left her parents' house in Columbus, Miss., to visit a friend about 8 p.m. last Thursday, Lowndes County Lt. Tony Perkins told The Tuscaloosa News.

The part-time Mississippi State student didn't take her purse, money or credit cards with her.

No one has reported seeing or hearing from Morris since, leaving authorities and her family baffled.

“There is no evidence of a crime,” Perkins told the News. “We want to make sure that she’s OK.”

The young woman left with an unknown friend driving a dark-colored SUV or van, he said. It isn't known whether the friend is male or female.

"She had told her stepfather she was leaving with a friend around 8 p.m. last Thursday to see another friend across the state line in Alabama," Perkins told Mississippi State's paper The Reflector. "She never showed up."

Police are investigating whether Morris left on her own or ran away.

"We don't have any evidence that anything out of the way has happened yet," Perkins told The Reflector. "To our knowledge she could have voluntarily left with a friend."

The missing woman is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall weighing 230 pounds. She has a rose tattoo on her second toe, a wolf tattoo on her right hip and a star and moon tattoo on her lower back, the News reported.

Morris takes classes at the Starkville campus of Mississippi State and is a junior in physical education, according to The Reflector. She works at The Cookie Store at a mall in Columbus.

“This is not like her normal behavior. She’s never been out of contact with her friends and family,” Morris' mother Bonnie Morris-Triplett told the Columbus Commercial Dispatch last week. “She’s a responsible girl. If anyone has any information, please, please contact us.”

August 2nd, 1995 Jaliek was born to a drug-addicted mother. Due to alcohol and drug exposure during gestation, he was removed from his biological mother’s care within days of his birth to keep him safe. Just days old, Jaliek entered the foster care system where he was shuttled through a series of seven foster and adoptive homes; only to disappear November 1, 2007 at the young age of twelve under mysterious circumstances.

In January 2008 police named Jaliek's adoptive father, Stephen Kerr, a person of interest in Jaliek’s disappearance based on several discrepancies in his story. Below is a glimpse as to what happened the six days leading up to his disappearance at age 12, and what the police know regarding his last foster care placement where he was later adopted and then disappeared.

Our Last Six Days With Jaliek

Over the past several weeks, my husband Tom and I have been asked many questions about our involvement as a respite family for Jaliek Rainwalker, the 12 year-old boy who disappeared from Greenwich on November 1st after staying at our home for six days. The TV stations show the public a snippet of an interview that often lasted over an hour. Below, I have compiled the questions and our responses that we feel are important so that you can come to know this beautiful child as we do.

On the morning of November 2nd, after supposedly discovering pillows under his son's bedcovers, and finding a runaway note he claims was written by his son, Stephen Kerr took a shower and returned rented movies to the video store before contacting police about his missing son.

On November 2, 2007, 4 ½ hours after reporting to the police that his 12 year-old son had run away, Stephen Kerr went to his boss’s 50th birthday party and never mentioned to anyone that his son was missing. His boss is one of Stephen’s friends and had known Jaliek for years. Stephen frequently took Jaliek to work with him

Stephen and Jocelyn were receiving monthly adoption subsidy checks of over $3,000.00, tax-free for Jaliek and their adopted daughter. The money was provided to them for the care and medical and psychological care of the children.

Despite the fact that his adoptive parents described Jaliek as mentally ill, homicidal and suicidal, neither he, nor his adopted sister were on meds or had received any counseling in approximately a year. If Jaliek’s behavior was so bad, so dangerous and so uncontrollable, why did they keep him so long? However, both Stephen and Jocelyn are on medications and in therapy

After notifying the media that Stephen and Jocelyn would be putting up reward posters in Albany, the media went to film Stephen that day in Albany. Stephen is quoted as saying, “We have other things to do rather than look for our missing child.”

31-year-old Jennifer J. Cook sent an email to the child's school pretending to be the father, asking to make 10-year-old Jeffrey William Few, a car rider.

Cook, who does not have custody of the child, picked Jeffrey up around 2:30PM from Flippen Elementary School in Henry County.

Cook has a warrant out for her arrest out of Butts County on an unrelated matter.

Cook is a white female, 5'0, 120lbs., with blonde hair and blue eyes. She is possibly driving a 1990 Acura Legend, gray in color, with North Carolina tag "DRHOOTER".

In a parallel investigation, Beseler said they were looking into an incident 10 days ago when three people in a blue Nissan allegedly tried to lure a girl into their car. The Orange Park Police Department report said a 5-year-old girl on a bicycle was riding about one block from where Somer was last seen when she was approached by a vehicle driven by a Hispanic woman with two Hispanic men as passengers.

"We have no reason to believe that that incident is connected to the disappearance of Somer, but we cannot assume that it is not connected either, so we're working on any leads we can follow up," Beseler said.

April Boothroyd, is the mother of the 5-year-old, and Shannon Pollett, the woman who stopped her vehicle during the abduction attempt, appeared with Beseler at Tuesday morning's news conference.

University of Virginia Police said 20-year-old Morgan Dana Harrington was last seen near the John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, where Metallica held a concert that night.

In a statement issued Monday, Virginia State Police said they are pursuing "numerous leads" into Harrington's disappearance.

Harrington was wearing a black T-shirt with "Pantera" across the front in tan letters, a black mini skirt, black tights and black knee-high boots.

She has long blonde hair, blue eyes, is 5-foot-6 and weighs about 120 pounds.

The Overland Park Police Department is asking for help in locating Keighley Ann Alyea, 18, of Overland Park. Alyea was last seen at her home late Tuesday. She is 5 feet 1 inch tall, 113 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. It is unknown what she was wearing when she was last seen.

Alyea drives a dark green Mazda 626 four-door bearing a Kansas license plate (198 BOV). The car is also missing.

A 27-year-old bachelor, Robert Anthony Spellman frequently worked out at a Sherman Oaks gym, then stopped at his mother’s house for dinner before heading to his own home in Woodland Hills.

He followed that routine until just after midnight on April 13, 2005, kissing his mom goodbye as he promised to return that night.

But the charismatic luxury-car salesman vanished the next day, and his family never saw him again.

It’s been 4 1/2 long and frustrating years for Spellman’s heartsick relatives, baffled about the disappearance of the 1995 Grant High graduate who brightened their lives with stories about girlfriends, his two dogs and his dreams of someday working for the California Highway Patrol.

And as they prepared to mark what would be his 32nd birthday today, his relatives talked about grappling with his fate – and theirs.

“When you have somebody who goes missing, it’s worse than if someone dies. At least then you know they’re dead,” said one of Spellman’s relatives, who asked not to be identified because of safety concerns. “But here, you’re looking all over the place to see if you can find the person.”

The uncertainty experienced by the Spellman family is like that facing relatives of the 3,000 adults who are reported missing each year to the Los Angeles Police Department.

About half of the cases involve senior citizens with Alzheimer’s or dementia who wander away from their caregivers, officials say. Those cases are usually resolved in a couple of days.

The rest involve mentally ill residents, suicides, adults who leave their families and those – like Spellman – that confound authorities.

“Every case is different. There are always some twists and turns,” said Detective Carmine Sasso, who took over supervision of the LAPD’s eight-member Missing Persons Unit two years ago.

“My whole outlook is to be aggressive with investigations – get out in front of it.”

Sasso credits the department’s aggressive approach to its success rate – about 95 percent of missing persons cases are solved within a year.

About 1 percent, however, are turned over to LAPD’s elite Robbery-Homicide Division. In May 2007 — after no word from the young man or activity on his credit cards or bank accounts — Spellman’s case became one of those.

“It just didn’t meet the pattern of a missing person after two years,” homicide Detective Chuck Knolls said.

“He was a young man. He wasn’t a transient. He didn’t appear to have any kind of personal problems that he would run away from. And he was family oriented.”

Nationally, 95 percent of missing people are found within five days, but after that the chances decrease, said Thomas Lauth, an investigator with the National Center for Missing Adults.

“The chances of them being endangered increases as time goes on,” he said.

But amazing stories of missing people who are reunited years after their disappearances keep families hopeful, such as the high-profile story of Jaycee Dugard of South Lake Tahoe, who returned home after 18 years of captivity in a backyard.

Elizabeth Smart, who was abducted from her bedroom one night in 2002 in Salt Lake City, was found nine months later.

These stories spark renewed hope in families of long-term missing people, said Monica Caison, founder of Community United Effort Center for Missing Persons, based in North Carolina.

“Hope is hope, and without a body there is hope that that person is still out there,” Caison said. “So we do have to go by what we feel.”

These amazing tales of return also keep the Spellman family believing that they’ll see him someday walk through the front door and sit down at the dinner table.

“The easy thing to think of is that the person is dead,” Spellman’s relative said. “Until we find a body, there’s a smidgen of hope.”

Spellman’s family said they became concerned when he failed to show up as planned for dinner April 13, 2005. His mother went to his rented home in Woodland Hills, where she said she ran into one of her son’s co-workers, who said he might have taken an impromptu trip to Las Vegas.

Uneasy with the exchange, Spellman’s mother filed a missing person’s report.

But Spellman’s relatives said the original detective was indifferent to their concerns and didn’t even send officers to the home of the missing man until June 28 – more than two months after he had vanished.

The family later filed a complaint with the LAPD, claiming the detective assigned to the case lagged in launching an investigation into Spellman’s disappearance. They were eventually told that an internal investigation determined there had been no wrongdoing.

For their part, police said they closed the missing person’s case after Spellman’s landlord filed a notice of eviction against him. The landlord’s attorney told authorities that Spellman had gone to her office nearly two weeks after he was reported missing – a premise Spellman’s family disputes.

After hiring a private investigator, the family was stunned to learn that the case had been shelved. They quickly refiled it, and police launched an investigation.

After two years of dead ends, the case was reclassified as a suspected homicide.

“The circumstance of how his family found out that he was missing led us to believe that he wasn’t just a walkaway – that he had met some foul play,” Knolls said.

He said he believes Spellman, who worked for a luxury-car company in Downey, may have been killed in a business deal that soured.

He said that authorities have two suspects but lack sufficient evidence to pursue a prosecution. He speculated that a killer may have received help from one or more unwitting third parties.

“Those are the people we need to talk to,” Knolls said.

While the LAPD pursues its investigation, Spellman’s family is also at work. Relatives have posted a $50,000 reward, created a Web site, and posted images of Spellman on MySpace and YouTube.

And today his family will gather to mark his 32nd birthday.

“It’s a very somber day,” his relative said. “We always remember him every day. There’s not a day that goes by that we don’t.”

Crystal vanished in her path home and soon rumors or theories circulated like a wild fire, none of which has located her, to bring her home to her then, five year old son and family.

In the following years the Soles family has not sat idle, they contacted the CUE Center for Missing Persons who have conducted numerous search efforts, the family hosted awareness events, walking door to door, to no avail. “I have to ask what will it take? What will make someone tell me where my daughter is? I have done all I know and have even begged total strangers for help”, said Gail Soles. Through all this, the Soles family continues to hold out hope for answers.

Now the Crystal’s family has launched a website in an effort to have a place that tipsters can provide information and also for her memory to stay alive. Matrice Richardson, 24, was arrested for not paying a restaurant bill. According to newspaper reports she was brought to the Agoura Hills Sheriff's station and was released in the middle of the night. Her family is very concerned as she has not been seen nor heard from since her release. They believe she was still intoxicated and shouldn't have been discharged. Her mother was on her way to pay bail when she was told that Matrice was released. Her family has been desperately searching for her and pray that no harm has come to her in the condition she left.

"I'm upset," said Michael Richardson, Mitrice's father. "But I'm going to keep a level head because I've been asked to. I don't expect these people to move, because they haven't."
"We want our daughter found," said Latice Sutton, Mitrice's mother. "We feel that there's not been enough effort to locate her. All we want is our daughter home."
The 24-year-old is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton, with a degree in psychology.
Authorities say Richardson was arrested at Geoffrey's Malibu restaurant for failing to pay her dinner tab, and for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.
"I specifically told the deputy: This is uncharacteristic of my daughter," said Latice Sutton. "My daughter does not go places and not pay a tab. I continuously re-iterate it. Something is wrong with my daughter. She appears to be in a crisis state."
"If Mitrice Richardson's name was 'Spears' or 'Lohan,' they would never let her walk out by herself. The would have escorted her home," said the family's attorney, Leo Terrell.
The family, who hired civil rights attorney Terrell, blames the department for releasing Richardson at 12:30 a.m. without notifying family members.
Meantime, the department says the Office of Independent Review is investigating the case as the search for Richardson continues.
"The only thing that matters is her safe return," said Steve Whitmore, spokesman for the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. "That's what I pray for, that's what I hope for, that's what we all pray for, and we hope for."
In an exclusive off-camera interview with the civilian jailer, custody assistant Sharon Cummings, who watched over Richardson during her stay at the station, she told Eyewitness News: "When I found out she didn't have a ride, I asked her why don't you stay, it's kind of dark and a bit cool, you don't have a jacket. I knew she lived out in L.A. and didn't know the area. But she said she didn't want to spend the night in jail, and she was hooking up with some friends."
There will be a multi-agency, large scale, search with K-9 units, officers on horseback, as well as helicopters, involved in the search this Saturday.

Activist: Mitrice Richardson sighted in South L.A.

Numerous people in South Los Angeles have claimed to have seen a woman who went missing a month ago after being released from a sheriff's station in Malibu, a community activist said Saturday.

Over the past few evenings, several South Los Angeles residents have said they saw Richardson, said Earl Ofari Hutchinson of the Los Angeles Urban Policy Roundtable.

They said they saw her at Manchester Avenue and Denker Street, Manchester and Western avenues and Florence and Western avenues, he said.

However, none of those reports were relayed to authorities, said Officer Bruce Borihanh of the LAPD Media Relations Section.

"That's the problem," Hutchinson said. "People are seeing her and no one has had the presence of mind to notify authorities."

Anyone with information about her whereabouts was asked to call Los Angeles police at (213) 485-2531.

Hutchinson said he will be at Florence and Western avenues at 11 a.m. Sunday to pass out pictures of Richardson and urge area residents to immediately alert authorities if they think they see the missing woman.

Circumstances of Disappearance

Paige Marie Renkoski, 30 years old, was last seen speaking with an unidentified Black male on the shoulder of Interstate 96 near the Fowlerville exit in Michigan on May 24, 1990 at approximately 3:00 - 4:30 PM. Her car was later found abandoned; the keys were in the ignition and the engine was running. The door to the vehicle was unlocked and Renkoski's purse and shoes were located inside. She has never been seen nor heard from again.

On that day back in 1990, Renkoski had dropped her mother off at Metro Airport at 11:30 a.m. and stopped to visit a friend in Canton Township until about 2:30 p.m. She stopped at a party store, bought a beer and headed back to Lansing. Some witnesses have told police they saw her vehicle weaving in and out of traffic, a maroon or burgundy van following close behind.

She left a large sum of money in her bank account and apparently had no travel plans. Renkoski had a close relationship with her mother and was engaged to be married.

In 2002, police said they have identified one suspect and are seeking a second in the disappearance of Paige Renkoski. The Livingston County Sheriff's Department relseased composite drawings of both suspects and told of new leads. Among them: at least two suspects were seen by passing motorists. Foul play is suspected in her disappearance.

On Thursday, 17-year-old Salma Khatun (name changed to protect identity) was rescued from a brothel in Budhwar Peth with the help of the West Bengal police and a team from the city’s Faraskhana police station. She had gone missing on October 22, 2008.

Salma would have never seen freedom if another victim of the flesh trade had not managed to escape from the brothel. This girl turned out to be from Salma’s village. She returned home with the help of a youth, and informed Salma’s parents about the whereabouts of their daughter.

It is a race against the clock for Dimmitt residents in the search for their friend who vanished on Monday.

Jonette Hamilton Woods suffers from Alzheimer's and is also on oxygen, which police do not believe she has with her.

A silver alert was issued by the Department of Public safety but expired on Wednesday.

That is why today, her friends formed what they call a "posse" to ensure her safe return.

Known in Dimmitt as Jo, 72 year old Jonette Hamilton Woods was last seen at the Allsup's around four Monday morning.

Jo's friend Peggy Broadstreet says it is unusual because "this is not like her to just disappear off the face of the earth. She's just very well thought of, she used to work for the city of Dimmitt. Everyone knows Jo, we are all very concerned."

Jo's car is a 1996 white Mercury Cougar and police say she had a full tank of gas when she disappeared. Police want everyone to know if you see her or her car, do not touch anything.

Instead, call the police at 647-4545 or the Castro County Sheriff's Office at 647-3311 or 9-1-1.

Police also say they are still questioning Jo's husband as standard procedure. They would not say if they suspect foul play.

Sessions left her off-campus apartment about 6 p.m. February 9, 1989. She told her roommate she’d be back shortly and took her Walkman with her.

It was the last time anyone would see her.

That was 20 years ago, a time when no one had cell phones, Blackberries or Web sites to aid in tracking a missing or abducted person.

The only clues came from people who recalled seeing a young woman fitting Sessions’ description walking down the main street just before dusk.
Sessions’ jogging route usually took her down Gainesville’s main street to a small dirt trail that cut through the woods. The loop was 1½ miles each way and took her about an hour.

Police and family believe that she was abducted near the woods. After extensive searches, no clues were found: not her remains, not her Walkman, not the clothes she was wearing.

“Much of the area in the last decade has been paved over, with new construction, making a search today very difficult,” said Detective Bob Dean of the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office. However, investigators are still searching and working this case actively.

According to Patrick Sessions, who has been closely involved with the police investigating his daughter’s case, the man who confessed was a sex offender who had been released just a month and a half before Tiffany Sessions disappeared.

Reachelle Smith is missing under suspicious circumstances. She was last seen at her residence in Minot, North Dakota, by her guardian at approximately 1 a.m. on May 17, 2006. The father of a Orlando woman who has been missing for nearly four years is helping raise awareness about the underground business that he believes took his daughter.
24-year-old Jennifer Kesse vanished with out a trace on January 24th, 2006.

Detectives have searched tirelessly, but found virtually nothing.

"Honestly, at this point, I think my daughter was trafficked," says father Drew Kesse.

Living with that dark belief, Kesse has educated himself on the black market that sends young American girls to the far corners of the earth.

"It's a $32 billion a year business," he says.

Eastern Europe, Japan and Korea are the most likely destinations for young Americans kidnapped into the slave trade, according to Kesse.

"A large majority are people who want an American woman for themselves," Kesse says.

But instead of wallowing in the pain of not knowing what happened to his daughter, Drew and his wife Joyce have been advocates for missing persons.

Drew Kesse is president of the Florida Missing Children's Day Foundation. He will speak Saturday at a fundraiser that's been organized by Stop Child Trafficking Now.

Kesse says he and his wife have also reached out to others whose loved ones are missing, including Tracy Ocasio, an Orlando woman who went missing in May.

"I've had many conversations with Joe(Tracy's father)," Kesse said. "We helped set some searches with some people that we had used in the past."

Needless to say, it's an unfortunate way to make new friends

Jennifer Kesse's family offers $1 million reward for her safe return

It has been nearly four years since Jennifer Kesse disappeared from her Orlando, Florida home. Despite the passage in time, her parents are not yet ready to give up hope and are now offering a $1 million reward for information leading to her safe return. According to Jennifer's father, Drew Kesse, the reward will be offered until Feb. 24, 2010.

"We know that someone in this world knows what has happened to Jennifer. If there is the miracle that she is still alive, we have great hope that this new reward will finally convince someone who knows where Jennifer is to come forward," reads a news release issued by Jennifer's parents.

The release also included a message intended for the person(s) responsible for Jennifer's disappearance.

"The person(s) responsible for this heinous crime must look inside themselves to, in some way, let Jennifer's whereabouts or fate be known and NOW is the time, for Jennifer's sake and no one else's.
